With an incredibly exciting season of development planned for our company, we have filled our final void we had from a staff perspective! CrossIce Developments would like to officially announce the hiring of PETER LUYMES as our new goaltending instructor!! Peter grew up in the Lacombe area, and played all of his minor hockey, including Midget AA in town. With a strong passion for teaching, developing, and encouraging minor hockey goaltenders, Peter is thrilled to join the CrossIce brand as we head into a season with 5 minor hockey association partnerships, and numerous camps planned for next off-season.

“Growing up without a goaltending coach, I know how crucial it is to have that specialized training and attention to make sure your weakest points are immediately corrected as a goalie. The importance of things such as angles, rebound control, and mental toughness can not be stated enough for young goaltenders. Working on things like these properly, with full attention from a coach specific for you, will make the difference come game time. From my coaching experience the last two years, I am excited to take on a bigger and more specific role with CrossIce!”

Peter will begin his work in a couple of weeks when we begin the ‘development phase’ skill sessions with Lacombe Minor Hockey. On top of association goaltending work, Peter will be a vital part to our camps moving forward to ensure our goaltenders receive top notch coaching and development.
